The Old English word mearas is the plural of mearh meaning "horse."

Mystic Mearas is a small scale operation located in rural Northeast Florida specializing in Paso Fino Horses and Gaited Sport Horses. The goal is to promote the "pleasure type" Paso Fino that is capable of beautiful collection and self carriage, as well as tremedous extension and superb athletic ability. The horses here are trained and used for multiple purposes; from leisure trail riding to Dressage and everything in between. Each of the horses here are versatile and play many roles; from being beloved companions and recreational trail horses, to competitive show horses and dymanic performers both in and out of the arena.
